Position Summary


The
Nurse Team Lead, MedEx & Medical Second Opinion will be responsible for the team and service delivery of the Medical Excellence and Medical Second Opinion services.


What you'll be doing

  • Oversee day to day operations of both the MedEx and MSO services.
  • Manage, mentor and motivate a team comprised of nurses, admin, and research specialists to provide exceptional service in health care for our clients and our contractual partners
  • Support and guide the team with navigating the Canadian health care system for optimal outcomes for our clients and stakeholders
  • Oversee team administrative activities: organizing team meetings, managing vacation requests and sick time, hiring and onboarding processes, and performance management of staff
  • Provide timely responsiveness to stakeholders (case managers, patients, physicians, etc.)
  • Prompt review and processing of monthly invoicing, cheques, and expense reconciliation
  • Reporting as required to support related lines of service: KPIs and client reporting
  • Assume, support and maintain a case load of complex or highpriority inquiries, when needed
  • Implement, distribute, and maintain support documentation, including processes, reference information and procedures that support the team and services

Skills and Experience

  • Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the applicable provincial college (i.e. the College of Nurses of Ontario)
  • Experience in a leadership role and/or demonstrated leadership responsibilities
  • Possess a combination of experience in both our Canadian healthcare system and case management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinker with exceptional problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Team player & strong interpersonal skills
  • Quality driven to maintain both exceptional service with our clients, stakeholders and providing support and motivating the team
  • Bilingual in French is an asset
