Student Weekend Cleaner - 3 Positions Available

$17.00 per hour

Contract Dates & Hours of Work
This position will start May 6th, 2023 and finish August 20th, 2023. Hours of work will be Saturday and Sunday, 9am - 5pm.

This position may have the opportunity to provide weekday and holiday coverage, which will be scheduled in advance when able to.

Responsibilities:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Must be willing to help coworkers with their job duties and be a team player;
Ability to follow cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning products;

An example of building duties include:

Sweeping & mopping the lobby and residential floors.
Cleaning the laundry room.
Cleaning all amenity spaces, including gym, study spaces and hangout rooms.
Empty and dispose of trash, recycling and compost.
Clean & polish elevators.
Dusting ledges, cleaning windows and wiping surfaces.

An example of in-suite duties include:

Remove and replace bed linens.
Dust all furniture, drawers, window ledges and surfaces.
Vacuum and mopping of floors throughout entire suite.
Empty and dispose of trash, recycling and compost.
Clean bathrooms and kitchens.
Inventory kitchen supplies and replace missing items.
Other duties will be assigned by the supervisor/management as they come up.

Qualifications:

Cleaning experience in a fastpaced hospitality environment is an asset.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
Must have excellent timemanagement skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to help out where needed.
Must be able to work efficiently, completing the set standard number of areas per shift.
Ability to work independently.
This role requires some manual lifting (moving supplies, etc.), and physical movement to complete the cleaning tasks.
Must be willing to complete a criminal reference check.
