Description

Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a dynamic, energetic, and innovative Principal committed to instructional leadership for Namao School.
Namao School is located just minutes north of the cities of Edmonton and St. Albert. It serves Pre-K, Kindergarten and Grades 1-9, with an approximate total population of 400 students and 38 staff. Namao School fosters a safe and caring environment for students to learn and thrive in a close-knit school community.

FTE:1.0 Term; beginning August 24, 2023 until June 28, 2024**

Culture Champion capacity to cultivate a safe and caring learning environment which includes promoting effective professional practice and wellness initiatives that improve the health and wellness of staff and students
Strategic Thinking and Innovation demonstrated success in meeting diverse student needs and to plan strategically for promoting school improvement
Curricular Expertise experience with a broad curricular background and the ability to support all teachers as they enrich learning outcomes
Inclusive Education leader in differentiated instruction and assessment, skills supporting the development of IPPs and experience supporting students with challenging behaviours

Educational & Professional Requirements:

Valid Alberta Teacher Certificate or eligibility for same is essential
Leadership Quality Standard Certificate required
Advanced digital literacy skills are essential
Leadership experience is required
Master's Degree, graduate coursework or degree in Educational Leadership or equivalent is preferred
