Description
Knows how to use load booking tools.

  • Negotiate pricing to service all prospect and client's needs.
  • Develop new leads, and followup with prospective sales leads in the Freight industry, coordinating with Freight Brokers and directShippers.
  • Negotiate rates and assign carriers to customer's shipments.
  • Prepare freight quotations to clients
  • Provide quotes to customers
  • Engage prospective clients through cold calling and networking activities.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and build business internally.
  • Work with CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

Qualifications and skills:


  • Working experience in Freight broker and logistics industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outbound call experience.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of trucking operations & logistics
  • Have a thorough understanding of rating, gross profit and have geographical knowledge
  • Solid networking skills
  • Sales experience in logistics and trucking industry is an asset.
  • Existing customer base is an asset.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Etobicoke, ON M9W 4K2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- load booking: 2 years (required)

- dispatch: 2 years (required)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (preferred)
