Description
The Logistics Manager is a member of the leadership team and plays a deeply interconnected role with sales, operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving.
Key responsibility includes ensuring the on-time and on-budget delivery of all PO's to our customers with a target of 100% on-time fill rate.
- Responsible for organizing Purchase Orders from Customers, including adding into our internal system and prioritizing for our production team
- Maintaining a spreadsheet of our current PO's and completed orders
- Ensure all products are produced on time and in our frozen facility prior to the outbound shipment date
- Includes a daily check of production schedule versus what was actually produced to ensure that we have not missed anything
- Checking our freezer inventory to see that pallets that have not yet shipped to storage are in fact there
- Liaise with the sales team to triage all PO date change requests and to ensure highlevels of customercentricity
- Organize daily transfers of product to our offsite frozen storage facility, including daily communication with personnel at the facility
- Create Bills of Lading for Purchase orders and send to our frozen facility in advance of shipments
- Inventory management of our frozen storage facility, including the month end inventory count and recap
- Working with transportation partners to secure loads across Canada and the United States to deliver products to our customers
- Includes working to maximize the truck in terms of consolidating multiple PO's (for our orders and the orders of our sister companies)
- Completing paperwork required for crossborder shipments including the Commercial invoice and Prior Notice for the FDA
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Proficient in using CMMS software and AS400
- Demonstrated ability to optimize logistics operations through process improvement initiatives
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Knowledge of materials management principles and practices
- Familiarity with freight pricing and negotiation strategies
- Valid forklift certification

$70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
