As _
Lead Hand Carpenter_, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish. The projects will be predominately residential with some light commercial construction. Lending your expertise to the owner of the company from conception to completion.

Being an on-site and hands on, mentor to the team with your years of experience, while your knowledge in carpentry and construction will be essential in a "on time" completion of every project.

Key functions of the role:

Ensure each project is constructed according to drawings, specifications, and project timeline.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
Supervise, mentor, coach, and train project personnel.
The knowledge of apprenticeship program, and ability to signoff apprentice hours required.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement. Propose and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Partner with management team, and subcontractors to identify/resolve problems as necessary and in a timely manner.

General Functions:

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is an asset.
Proven creative problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to successfully translate technical information to nontechnical individuals.
Excellent relationship building skills, with strong focus on client relationship, and a proven track record of integrity when dealing with Clients, Trades, and Consultants.

Education & Experience:

Red Seal certified, required for role.
5+ years of experience in a similar role; 10+ experience working in the concrete, woodframe, and commercial construction industry.

Pay:
$35.00-$45.00 per hour
