The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for a Baseball Communications Assistant (Game Day).
Reporting to the Communications Manager of Baseball Information, the Gameday Assistant will help with all press box and gameday information needs for Blue Jays home games.
Working with the Communications team, this role will get first-hand experience in a professional sports environment, focused on servicing the media.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively with the Baseball Communications team to ensure all press box and gameday needs are met during Blue Jays home games
- Act as a runner for gameday information and credentials as needed
- Contribute to postgame notes and the curation of baseball information
- Assist with the distribution of game notes and stat packs to stakeholders throughout Rogers Centre
- Responsible for understanding baseball research tools (baseball reference, FanGraphs, etc.)
- Field baseball information requests from Toronto beat media members
QUALIFICATIONS

Game Day Assistants must be able to work all 81 home games (evenings, weekends, and holidays) and other Blue Jays events as required_**- Post-secondary education in journalism, sport management, communications, or public relations
- Knowledge of the game of baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays is a must
- Confident and effective communication skills interpersonal, written, and verbal
- Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to multitask and meet required deadlines
- Experience working in a sports environment
- Ability to use Microsoft Office
- Ability to use Adobe InDesign considered a plus
