Academy of Learning Career College (AOLCC)

Academy of Learning Career College is responsible for providing a welcoming environment in which adult learners may engage in independent learning activities.

It's like taking an online course, but while having access to one-on-one support from a Learning Coach.

_Shift time: 1pm to 9pm (weekend flexibility is required))_

_The Learning Coach will be required to visit our Brampton East campus once or twice a week as per business requirements._

Responsibilities

Providing guidance to adult learners as they progress through selfdirected courses
Becoming familiar with the courses yourself you are not an instructor, but you must gain an understanding of course content in order to assist learners through the content
Performing administrative duties, such as ordering materials, entering student data, generating reports, welcoming visitors, answering telephones, corresponding with various parties, monitoring student attendance, and handling student records
Creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere for learners
Distributing Practical Exams as required
Set up and Proctor exams
Coaching adult learners on exam preparation and good study habits
Preparing soontobe graduates for the realities of reentering the workforce once they complete their studies

Qualifications

A University Degree or College Diploma from a recognized Canadian institution (international qualifications may be considered equivalent)
Excellent customer service skills
Willingness to learn and quickly acquire the Academy of Learning Facilitator Certification by successfully completing all required exams within a specified timeframe
Passion for education

The following qualifications will be considered an asset:

Experience working with adults in an educational environment
Experience working in a Private Career College or other education environment, preferably as a teaching assistant or facilitator
