We are currently looking for a
Vehicle Distribution Specialist to join our team in
Mississauga, ON (Hybrid).


This role will be responsible for providing dealers the highest standards of customer service when addressing all vehicle distribution/sales-related inquiries.

Provide support to the regional field staff and monitor inventory flow to the dealerships in order to achieve monthly wholesale requirements.


Job functions Include but are not limited to:

  • Investigates and provides timely resolution to all Dealers and Regional Distribution Inquirie.
  • Maintain a monthly wholesale forecast report, updating weekly to manage any changes or adjustments to the monthly wholesale targets.
  • Maintain accuracy of the Logistics ETA dashboard and support improvements of the dashboard
  • Responsible for the daily wholesale release of Nissan Canada Inc. inventory to dealers in order to achieve monthly wholesale target.
  • Forecast and propose monthly regional and national wholesale targets based on an analysis of compound inventory levels and inventory intransit
  • Ensure timely and efficient wholesale and arrival of vehicles at the dealerships and compounds. Analyze daily reports, investigate unusual movement and/or nonmovement of vehicles from compounds and factories, confirm information with WWS and mitigate risk to wholesale as required
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure aged product is identified and wholesaled in a timely manner to reduce carrying costs by NCI. Review and match aging inventory against newer ones intransit, FIFOing where possible, to facilitate the constant flow of new units, and to mitigate wholesale risk.
  • Assist with month end closure to ensure that Dealer Pickups and vehicle deliveries are completed so that monthly wholesale objectives are achieve.
  • Generate ad hoc reporting addressing inventory level issues, regional tagging of unsold inventory, transport damage repair progress, etc. Communicate related information to WWS, RGM's, DOM's and Distribution management where necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Must have a university degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 to 3 years logistics experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database familiarity, Excel, EDW. The incumbent must demonstrate strong organizational and analytical ability in order to effectively grasp NCI' s Distribution processes. Strong communication and cross functional skills to build relationships with both internal and external user groups. Related automotive experience is a definite asset.
  • Strong communication skills including speaking on behalf of Nissan Canada Inc. Collaboration, diplomacy, effective listening and conflict resolution to deal with WWS management, field staff and regions. Negotiation skills (i.e. facilitating dealer trades to meet Customer sold orders).
  • Full grasp of NCI's Distribution processes and related systems. Dealer inquiries are generally non routine and require creative and accurate use of the many systems and tools (listed below) to determine the best and most accurate answer. Demonstrate very solid attention to detail, initiative, logical reasoning and problemsolving skills.
  • Decision making related to the fulfillment of their daily responsibilities such as moving inventory from one region to another or supplying a dealer with a unit they cannot otherwise obtain through a dealer trade. Using alternative methods to get a unit to a dealership faster than normal mode of transportation, special move requests and overriding the system to get a unit moving.
  • Being fully bilingual in English and French, both verbal and written, is a great asset.
