THE ROLE

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, IM/IT Products, the Manager, Application Maintenance provides technical leadership in the development, implementation and maintenance of the software solutions.

They will focus on supporting the CANEX retail division in the development and evolutions of retail-specific technologies.


They manage the transition of software solutions from project phase to maintenance phase to ensure that the solutions can be supported and maintained.

They manage the resolution of the software-related issues, problems and defects through tracking, prioritization and escalation of support issues. They liaise with ITSS Service Desk to coordinate the resolution of client issues.

In addition, they coordinate the delivery of small-size projects with low risk and impact, such as meeting project implementation expectations and project success criteria including: quality, scope, budget and timelines.


QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**College diploma or certificate in Software Development, Computer Programming or a related field AND several years of experience in software development, support and maintenance

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification, an asset

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, an asset

  • In systems analysis, data administration and software engineering
  • In software maintenance, support and development
  • In managing the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • In managing the implementation of software development projects
  • In personnel administration
  • In project management
  • In risk management
  • In change management
  • In server management
  • In developing and managing IM/IT contracts and consulting services
  • In retail technology
