Reporting to the Director, Public Health Epidemiology & Informatics, the Manager, Technology Planning & Integration leads in the planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of portfolio wide information management systems, processes, and document management.

Detailed Overview:

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:


Responsibilities:


  • Oversees the development, coordination and management of quality improvement ensuring the planning, implementation and evaluation of information management systems, processes and practices are inter
- dependently linked and support the strategic priorities and goals of the Population & Public Health portfolio. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of strategic and operational initiatives designed to strengthen organization and individual competencies.

  • Serves as a systemlevel expert on information management and systems; maintains provincial, national, and other key external linkages to promote evidencebased decision making in Population & Public Health.
  • Partners with Public Health, Environmental Health, and Community Care Facilities Licensing managers in designing and implementing change processes that engage partners appropriately from initiation to integration of the change. Works closely with other key partners to promote effectiveness, efficiency, accountability, and sustainability in all major clinical processes.
  • Provides evidencebased recommendations regarding potential changes to processes and information systems.
  • Liaises with outside vendors; issues requests for proposals, reviews bids and/or negotiates equipment and/or service contracts following department and regional guidelines, making recommendations where necessary to the Executive Director.
  • Acts as the portfolio lead contact for FH Health Informatics and Health Information Services (HIIT), HSSBC, MoH, BCCDC, and providers of information systems (e.g. Intagio, HealthSpace, NucleusLabs, etc.) on information management and systems' issues and new initiatives/projects.
  • Leads in the planning, implementation and evaluation of mobile information system technology to optimize workforce efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leads in the development of systems and reports to compile information from multiple sources; researches and analyzes issues and trends to identify data/information required for assigned initiatives; ensures the capturing of data necessary for performance and quality measurements; provides interpretive reports based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Leads in the development, coordination and implementation for staff and managers' training on current and/or new processes and information systems.
