Position Summary
The main purpose is to operate, adjust and set up assigned mill lines independently while meeting production, quality, and safety requirements.
What you'll do:
- Load steel and paper coil onto uncoilers using a crane
- Tighten the uncoiler and cut straps on the coil
- Activate machine using the control panel by selecting the order type
- Set up and adjust rolls and conduct quality inspection checks
- Operate a crane and forklift.
What you'll need:
- Forklift and Overhead crane experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of hand tools such as tin snips, tape measures, and calipers
- Good verbal communication skills in French and English
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in a fast pacedpaced team environment
- Ability to lift products weighing up to 50 pounds
- Able to work shift work
- Meet all safety policies and procedures
