About Our Opportunity:


Reporting to the Manager, HR Analytics, the Workforce Metrics & Analytics Consultant works cross functionally with program owners and service delivery providers to determine and meet their workforce reporting and analytics needs, ensuring high quality reporting and analytics.

You will design and build complex information models, dashboards, KPI's/metrics and reports that provide managers and Senior Leadership, across Government, with the information they need to make data-driven, evidence-based decisions.


Primary Accountabilities:


  • Facilitates the design and administration of surveys or other measurement instruments of employee involvement, leadership effectiveness and organizational review. Analyses data sets, both structured and unstructured, of varying sizes using applied mathematical and statistical methods; turning the patterns and insights into actionable intelligence that provide evidencebased advice. Provides targeted research on workforce demographics and survey data that will identify opportunities for cross departmental initiatives and address any business challenges.

  • Ensures the contents of any request and the analytics developed using the data are secure and the privacy of information is protected. The role demands that the incumbent take appropriate precautions to project employee and client privacy.
  • Designs, experiments, test hypotheses and builds data and predictive models. Conducts advanced data analysis using highly complex designs. Tests and validates findings from the data with a focus on accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, logic, significance and clarity. In interpreting the data, considers context, existing knowledge of business issues, assumptions and inferences made, and complexity of data being analyzed.
  • Interprets and analyses large and varied amounts of complex data to provide accessible, informative and actionable information for a broad spectrum of users.

Qualifications and Experience:


To be successful in this position, you have completed a Bachelor's degree in a field of study such statistics, applied mathematics, or economics.

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.


In addition you possess:

  • A solid command of survey methodology and survey statistics
  • An ability to analyze data and information into a usable form and provide interpretation or presentation of results for expert and nontechnical audiences alike
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, experience with advanced formulas and data analysis
  • Experience with Tableau and other data visualization tools
  • Self motivated individual who brings strong quantitative skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to present to a diverse group in a compelling and influential manner
  • A strong collaborator and team player who excels at facilitating outcomes with the needs of various stakeholders in mind while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while meeting deadlines
  • Experience with Alchemer would be an asset
