Position/Poste:
Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist - Employer and Client Coordinator Full-time


Duties/Fonctions:


  • Develop relationships with employers in a variety of industries, operating as contact point with companies and their contacts initiating job orders
  • Maintain ongoing effective communication with employers, ensuring all employer records are complete and kept up to date
  • Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team to achieve established job placement targets
  • Act as an ambassador to equal opportunity and employment equity, advocating in all business relationships
  • Measure the client's progress and provides timely feedback on skills learned, remembering to provide encouragement and specific action recommendations to enable further understanding
  • Communicate and resolve performance issues promptly in collaboration with employers and client
  • Negotiate employment opportunities with employers
  • Document employer priority needs and requirements to assist the ES team and clients to prepare for appropriate job matches
  • Work with the MODC ES team to match clients with employment opportunities secured through the job development process; and to ensure the placement is supported to the extent needed
  • Develop an onthejob training plan for the client if required

Qualifications/Compétences requises:


  • Post-Secondary education
  • CVRP eligible would be considered an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English would be an asset
  • Experience adapting traditional educational methodology to various disability types to accommodate individual needs
  • Indepth knowledge of the current labour market and labour market trends
  • Experience in job development, employer outreach and marketing, and customer relationship management; reputable experience in recruitment and screening
  • Sensitivity to issues/barriers that people with disabilities experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, sales and customer service skills
  • Welldeveloped time management, organization and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe software
  • Ability to document, maintain records and assist in reports
  • Driver's license and reliable transportation required
