Site Superintendent - Vancouver, Canada - Faber Work

About the Role
We are immediately hiring an experienced Site Superintendent to support the delivery of a mixed-use low rise project, consisting of an underground parkade, concrete first floor commercial retail units, and wood frame residential units on top.
Role Description
You will have the opportunity to oversee management oversight of all phases of a 6-story mixed-use project, including employees, subcontractors, materials and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead all work on construction site from excavation to occupancy
- Lead on sub contractors and trades in daily work, ensuring compliance with project schedule
- Manage site startup, organize and coordinate subcontractors
- Ensure all required permits are obtained
- Ensure that safe work practices and procedures are being followed onsite at all times
- Prepare, review, and direct action on all RFIs
- Ensure accurate and timely project close date; adjust working schedules to ensure deadlines are met
- Working with the Construction Project Manager to resolve any constructional issues that may arise
- Ensure proper materials and quantities of materials are onsite prior to daily work commencing
- Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and report on progression of building
- Supervise all workers onsite; provide feedback to workers, enforce company policy and administer disciplinary measures as required
- Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associated work; create contingency plans to mitigate risk
- Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
- Develop, monitor and oversee quality control measures on worksites
- Ensure building inspections are completed periodically throughout the construction phases to ensure buildings meet specifications of clients
Skills and Requirements

Experience as a Site Superintendent on a recent low-rise wood frame building project:
- Ability and proven experience taking projects from excavation to occupancy
- Effectiveness in the areas of construction safety and productivity
- Strong communication, integration, problemsolving and interpersonal skills;
- Dedication to health and safety in the workplace
- Superior leadership qualities with a demonstrated track record of dealing successfully with internal and external customers
- Resultsoriented with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and time lines
- Possess a valid driver's license
