Role:

Responsible for activities associated with cross-functional execution of strategies, initiatives, processes, and procedures within the Merchandising department, including Insight collection, communication, and on-going feedback

  • Balanced connectivity with crossfunctional teams. Rollout of consistent CABL Merchandising activities.

Drive Category Management activities through:
Proactive communication with the field, - coaching cross-functional teams to find/deliver solutions.

Reduce duplication and complexity across the market and operating site by continuing to roll out standard operating procedures and develop new capabilities and tools to drive efficiencies.

Owns the common assortment and execution of it.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Act as a liaison between Canada Support Center (CSC) and field merchandising to provide support and resources to enhance ability to operate the business and execute flawlessly for the customer.
  • Responsible for crossfunctional facilitation for the development and implementation of standardized processes and procedures for Key CSC Merchandising initiatives along with the metrics to support these initiatives.
  • Lead collaboration and communication across Corporate and field teams to streamline processes to increase efficiencies across the enterprise.
  • Develop and refine field ready communication of initiatives for Canada Broadline (CABL).
  • Translate corporate strategy into field ready execution plans.
  • Manage merchandising field input for all product categories through the entire Category Management process.
  • Create and implement unified and standardized processes for CABL Merchandising organization.
  • Collaborate with Replenishment team to develop, implement and monitor the planner proficiency process to promote effective utilization of all systems for increased Customer Service Level and Warehouse Efficiencies
  • Gather field level input to support development, implementation, and consistent use of Best Business Practices (BBP) to improve merchandising efficiencies.
  • Enable the common assortment, including vendor and items setup, rollout of Point of Sales Material (POS) and training programs, initial forecasting to procurement, and depletion plans by category.
  • Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with mínimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • 5+ years experience foodservice management in foodservice distribution preferred.
  • Related experience and/or training within a retail, wholesale or distribution environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in process development and crossfunctional communication.
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4year college/university or equivalent combination of education/experience in lieu of a degree sufficient to successfully perform essential job functions.
