SUMMARY:
The Payroll/Benefits Officer reports to and works under the supervision of the Manager of Finance(MOF).

The position is required to work in collaboration with the Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) in regard to the Employee Benefit administrative duties.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • College diploma in Business or Human Resources; or Bachelor degree in business or accounting, bookkeeping or payroll administration
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the whole payroll process for more than 100 employees within a Human Resources Department with related experience with a focus on benefits;
  • Payroll Certification is a valuable asset
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation an asset;
  • Selfmotivated; ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, able to meet payroll deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Some overtime may be required
  • Ability to work with discretion; high level of confidentiality
