What your day to day will look like

  • Assembles aircraft engines and subassemblies according to assembly floor sheets (AFS) giving necessary attention to the use and care of equipment, tools and safe working practices
  • Ensures that quality and integrity of product is maintained at all times
  • Signs applicable assembly floor sheets (AFS) when operations are complete
  • Executes engine predress, test and postdress according to assembly floor sheets (AFS)
  • Documents build, test or strip activities to ensure smooth workflow and coordination between shifts
  • Checks that tools, equipment, and parts are clean, FOD and damage free prior to & after use. Ensures proper care and storage of tools, equipment, and parts during assembly, test & disassembly of engines.
  • Assists in troubleshooting during assembly, test or disassembly of engines performing various tasks such as cleaning hardware etc.
  • Contributes to FOD prevention, continuous improvement and EHS cultures
  • Shift work required (2 weeks days, 2 weeks afternoons on rotation), alternate shifts may be required at times.

The tools you need to be successful

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of technical college in aircraft trades
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the aircraft field preferred
  • Awareness of EH&S, 6S, and continuous improvement would be an asset
  • Must be detail and result oriented
  • Must possess a good capacity for teamwork and effective communications
  • Must possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and be able to problem solve effectively
  • Must display drive and initiative
  • Must possess basic computer skills
