Description
The Associate Registrar, Student Recruitment is responsible for strategic direction, leadership and oversight of both domestic and international student recruitment as well as executing international business development strategies for Sheridan post-secondary programs.
The position assists and supports the Deputy Registrar of New Student Enrolment in the identification, development, advancement, implementation, and assessment of strategies, structures, policies, and procedures to increase and integrate international Recruitment and partnership development activities.
The incumbent is accountable for leading large change initiatives and developing college-wide policies and procedures relating to the portfolio areas; and in conjunction with other Associate Registrars, the incumbent ensures the provision of consistent delivery of quality and responsive customer service and communications via the web (digital), print media, presentations, in-person, telephone, and other means for prospects, applicants, educational partners and other influencers and stakeholders.
Collaborating with colleagues in the development of both long-term (3-5 year) and short term (annual) plans for strategic domestic and international recruitment and enrolment management.
Leading the analysis of new student enrolment trends in domestic and international markets and developing prospective student engagement strategies in all markets to meet enrolment targets.
Participating as a member of the OTR management team in departmental strategic planning activities, including environmental scanning, identifying and surveying customer needs, participating on College, intra-College and Ministry committees, identifying business priorities and developing and evaluating financial, human resources and business process strategies to achieve them.
Establishing priorities and seeking opportunities to maximize capacity of resources.
Serving on or chairing a variety of internal and external committees offering expert registrarial knowledge and support, and to ensure currency with issues and best practices.
You have well-developed analytical, problem-solving, project management and evaluation skills allowing you to guide strategy, understand challenges and determine solutions.
You are an effective communicator with a proven track record building relationships and engagement with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
You are a collaborative leader with the ability to effectively manage a team in order to build professional capacity; leading the development, mentoring and coaching of staff; engaging in goal setting and performance management.

A high level of knowledge and experience with issues, emerging trends, practices, legislation and immigration regulations affecting post-secondary institutions in Canada and around the world.
Proven experience leading domestic and international recruitment strategies, functions, business processes, and policies as they relate to enrolment management.
Familiarity with different education systems in major international student source countries including academic and non-academic policies and regulations.
Proven skills in the development and implementation of business plans and initiatives.
Excellent leadership, managerial, strategic planning, decision making and organization skills.
Financial management experience as well as experience with metrics and data-driven decision making.
An understanding of other cultures and strong intercultural communication skills.
Fluency in a language other than English considered an asset.
