About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Public Health Manager, the Secretary II provides administrative support to the Public Health Manager and Public Health staff.

The secretary is responsible, as part of a team, for the effective and efficient operation of the office on a day-to-day basis.


Duties include but are not limited to:

communicating effectively with Public Health staff, the general public, and outside agencies; typing; filing; reception duties; records management; supply requisitions in SAP; time entry in HRIS; and data entry in the Public Health databases.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Successful completion of post-secondary education in a recognized Office Administration/Medical Secretarial Program
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience providing clerical services
  • Excellent technical skills specifically with WordPerfect and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as proficiency in preparing presentations and reports using graphic and presentation software
  • Consistently maintains confidentiality and demonstrate good judgment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work with a mínimal amount of supervision
  • Training and experience in SAP and HRIS or willingness to learn
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Permanent Full Time /100% FTE / 70 Hours Biweekly

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $23.14 hourly
