Applications are invited for the position of Food & Beverage Coordinator in the Culinary, Tourism & Beverage Studies (CTBS) Division, located at the Daniel J.
Patterson Campus. The starting hourly rate is $30.00/hr (Pay Band F - $30.00/hr to $34.77/hr) for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage, update, and monitor the Central Stores and Benchmark inventory management system. Responsible for entry and accuracy of data into Food Trak, ensuring proper entry of recipes, food ingredients and measurements
- Develop academic culinary/bakery manuals; update and provide suggestions to recipes in supporting learning outcomes and cost controls
- Create and assign daily lab requisitions, support Benchmark Restaurant and special events with requisitions as needed
- Work with Central Stores Inventory Coordinator in procuring required products
- Research and identify cost savings opportunities, suggest changes and improvements to faculty and management
- Provides weekly reporting updates to the Academic Operations Manager on individual lab financial performance
- Provides feedback and/or recommendations to Associate Dean to determine best course of action regarding program delivery as needed
Qualifications:
- Two (2) year diploma/degree Culinary, Hospitality, and/or C of Q, or related field of study
- Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in culinary management and/or inventory management
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to creatively problem solve with a customer service focus
- Effective communicator and excellent leaderships skills
- Experience in menu development and creation, understanding of cost control best practices
- Strong computer skills including MS Office
- Food Trak or other inventory management systems experience is considered an asset
Internal employees are those classified as full-time permanent within the Full-Time Support Staff bargaining unit, regular part-time (RPT) employees who have completed probation, and Appendix D employees with six consecutive months of Appendix D service with the College at the time of posting.
