The
AECOM cultural resources team is currently seeking an applicant for an
Archaeologist office position providing administrative and project support to senior staff in the cultural resources
Barrie office team.
- To contribute to report composition, data management, cultural material analysis, and administration.
- In this position, you will work closely with AECOM's Project Managers and must have a willingness to learn and develop professionally where required.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree in a cultural resourcesrelated field, such as heritage, anthropology, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Conducting historic research.
- Cultural material analysis and cataloguing.
- Familiarity with the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism heritage planning and archaeological legislation.
- Archaeological field experience in conducting Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 assessments including an understanding in field methods and techniques, note taking, mapping and interpretation.
- Well demonstrated research and writing skills.
- Demonstrated dedication to following and promoting a strong health and safety culture.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Work efficiently in order to successfully meet set deadlines
