Position Overview:


Responsible for the data entry and auditing of pick tickets, bill of lading preparation, receiving document data entry, freight claim processing, filing, and other office duties as assigned.

Order inventory for distribution centers. General reception, telephone and office supply coordination are included with this position. Performs Material Handler functions as needed. Has a heightened awareness of the warehouse and office interrelationship, as well as cross-train as the Team Leader backup.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Daily preparation of intransit receiving documents for Material Handlers, and assigning Build to Order locations for incoming product.
  • Crossed trained to perform Material Handling functions as needed.
  • Preparation of picking documents for Material Handlers to ensure ontime shipping of all orders.
  • Communicates all shipping, receiving and intransit activities on a daily basis.
  • Ability to order inventory from all manufacturing locations into other Distribution Centers.
  • Enters purchase orders and communicates to various vendors.
  • Receives inbound materials into system, verifying and identifying information and quantity to packing slip or purchase orders, informs Team Leader of any discrepancies and communicates accordingly via correct form.
  • Creation and confirmation of packing lists (shippers), bills of lading and skid labels in system, verifying and identifying information and quantity to picking documents.
  • Confirms online order acknowledgements in a timely manner as requested by specific customers.
  • Processing and entry of all returns (RMA's) in the system.
  • Assist in the processing and filing of all freight claims with appropriate carriers.
  • Provide assistance with maintaining inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts as determined by bin location schedule.
  • Prepares cycle count batches (minimum of 3 per week) to ensure our inventory accuracy meets the desired goal.
  • Assist Team Leader in the development and maintenance of spreadsheets and reports.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, maintaining a positive and courteous rapport with other teammembers, customers, and contacts in other distribution center locations.
  • Manage ordering, inventory and secure storage of all office supplies, general tools, and miscellaneous warehouse supplies.
  • Maintain facility office in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years warehouse experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous leadership experience, or experience working with mínimal supervision are also a plus. Prior shipping/receiving/customer service experience desired.
  • Must have a valid forklift permit or the ability to learn how to drive a forklift.
  • Must be a responsible selfstarter with strong organization and time management skills.
  • Must be highly dependable, able to work independently, and mature enough to work safely and responsibly in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience or ability to learn RF scanners.
  • Must be fluent in English, knowledgeable of Spanish, and have a professional, polite phone personality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to doing quality work in serving internal and external customers.
  • Strong computer skills to include knowledge of ERP systems, databases and the MS Office suite.
