Description

We currently have an opening for a
Dock Lead Hand for our afternoon shift in our
_Mississauga_
Terminal. This is a permanent full-time position, Monday to Friday, 1:00pm - 9:30pm.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the movement and handling of customer orders; ensuring freight is handled according to company standards
  • Organizing and planning the GX Dock team operators to maximize productivity of resources
  • Ensure general maintenance and housekeeping is being performed; initiate repair requests; ensure dock is cleaned and kept free of debris
  • Complete nightly dock checks
  • Report any OS&D
  • All activities are done with a safety focus

Requirements:


  • Minimum 5+ years of previously related experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a warehouse/cross dock environment
  • Valid Fork Lift Certification
  • Hazardous Materials Certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, TruckMate (TMW), Peoplenet
  • You will thrive in this position if you possess superior communication and organization skills, enjoy a fastpaced environment, and love being a valued team member
