    The Nicola-Similkameen School District serves Merrit and Princeton, as well as surrounding areas and 6 First Naons communies .

    Merrit is in the beauful Nicola Valley and is the hub of a highway system that links Kamloops, Kelowna, and the Lower Mainland.

    Ecole Elmentaire Colletville is a Kindergarten through Grade 7 single -track French Immersion elementary school in Merrit, Brish Columbia. The school's populaon is approximately 125 students. Ecole Elmentaire Colletville School is an inclusive community that puts student well-being and learning at the forefront.

    Ecole Elmentaire Colletville School has a staff that is commited to excellence in language learning, works closely together as a professional team, and deeply values the opportunity to create a vibrant French Immersion culture that engages students, staff, families, and the larger community.

    The ideal candidate will be a dynamic educator who possesses the following qualies:
    Master of Educaon Degree in Leadership, Administraon, Special Educaon, Counselling Psychology, Curriculum, or related degree. A minimum of ten years of successful teaching experience is preferred. Leadership experience with elementary and/or secondary school programs and curriculum. Successful leadership of innovave student achievement iniaves that are based on current research. Funconally bilingual preferred; willingness to learn and improve French language skills. Has experience with French Immersion pedagogical philosophy, instrucon, and assessment.

    Demonstrated experience establishing a welcoming learning environment that creates a sense of belonging and agency for all students, families and staff.

    Experience and commitment to creang vibrant and engaged school communies with a focus on holisc wellness, diversity, and inclusion. Skilled in all aspects of supervision for and of learning; a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning, and collaboraon. Proven commitment to and knowledge of incusive pracces and the use of data to guide instrucon and intervenon strategies. Excellent communicaon, conflict resoluon and interpersonal skills.

    Knowledge and understanding of the Truth and Reconciliaon Commission's Calls to Acon, the United Naons Declaraon on the Rights of I ndigenous People, the BC Declaraon on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act and Acon Plan, the BC Triparte Educaon Agreement, MMIWG2s, and First Peoples Principles of Learning.
