The Branch of Vehicle and Equipment Management Agency is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Insurance and Billing Clerk.

VEMA is committed to providing clients with a complete range of quality fleet management services to assist in the efficient delivery of public programs by managing the light and heavy duty vehicle and equipment including repairs, inventory and warehousing services in support of all provincial departments, boards, commissions, agencies, institutions, and crown corporations of the Manitoba Government.

Qualifications:

Essential:


  • Completion of a postsecondary administration or business certificate program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • IWS Operator Certification through Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing workload demands and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with departmental staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Effective verbal communication skills to clearly and professionally communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective written communication skills with experience drafting and editing correspondence or other communications.
  • Ability to work independently, using own discretion and demonstrating selfmotivation and selfdiscipline.

Desired:


  • Knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act.
  • Experience and proficiency in Keys (fleet management software) or equivalent.

Duties:


Reporting to the Manager of Support Services, the Billing and Insurance Clerk is responsible for generating timely and accurate variable/per km billings, updating fuel data in Keys, the Agency's fleet management system, day to day administration of the fuel card program, entering incident (primarily accident) information in Keys, providing quality customer service, MPI Insurance Agency responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
