This competitively rewarded role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office.

Periodically, in-person events or activities will be required of you. September - May co-op.

A typical day would involve:

Reviewing current backlog items, prioritizing the pipeline, and sharing relevant updates on current tasks at hand to raise awareness and remove roadblocks.
Conducting business analytics to define the "tobe" business processes that align with complex multivendorbased technology platforms
Identifying, defining and documenting technical, functional and system requirements through consultation with internal stakeholders.
Active participation in collaboration sessions with cross functional teams of business and IT professionals to explore potential solutions and recommend best approach through thorough analysis of impact and value delivered.
Informing and engaging stakeholders as required on product development so that communication is current, complete, and timely and to manage risks during development with clear direction from IT leaders.

You always do your research and analyze it to assess and recommend a course of action considering industry, political and economic trends, and to identify risks and opportunities that may impact the business unit and/or designated area.
A team player you can engage with members of your team as well as crossfunctional teams and are willing to take on responsibilities that may be outside of your normal day to day tasks to promote progress in projects and initiatives.

You Have:

Razorsharp attention to detail
Excellent written and visual communications
A passion for sharing information in new and creative ways
A goal of achieving Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
Willingness to work in a highly flexible environment with multiple competing priorities

Bonus points, if you have:

Experience writing SQL queries
Experience working with data visualization tools, like Power BI, and development planning tools, like Azure DevOps
Already completed at least one work term
