    The Department of Social Development is seeking an individual to join the Adult Client Services Support Branch as Manager of the Adult Protection Team in its Central Office in Fredericton. An alternate work location may be considered with a documented remote work agreement.
    As the Manager of the Adult Protection Team, the successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight to its Provincial Program Consultants and Clinical Auditor to ensure the effective delivery of its mandate and/or actively participate in the provincial planning, design, monitoring and quality management of programs and services with respect to the Adult Protective Services. The incumbent will work collaboratively with colleagues in the central and zone offices to successfully plan, design and implement innovative, improved and integrated services, programs, policies and procedures and work with various GNB departments to ensure seamless service delivery for New Brunswick citizens. The Manager will lead the development and implementation of the clinical auditing program with the goal of executing clinical practice audits in the Adult Protection program. They will also ensure policies and procedures are aligned with protecting adults with a disability and seniors from neglect and abuse as outlined in the Family Services Act .

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A Master's degree in Social Work with a minimum of four (4) years of related and responsible work experience OR a Bachelor degree in Social Work and a minimum of six (6) years of related and responsible experience.

    Related and responsible experience includes:

    • Experience in program, standard and policy development;
    • Experience with stakeholder engagement and consultation; and
    • Experience in project management/implementation.

    ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate experience in one or more of the following asset qualification:

    • Experience in Adult Protection
    • Two (2) years of direct supervisory experience in staff management or organizational leadership.

    Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability .

    In order to be appointed, candidates must be actively registered with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers.
