You have:
- Working knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, regulations, and the various frameworks supporting positive child and youth development
- A Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and be registered
- A belief in the vision, mission, and core values of BGC Hamilton-Halton
- A passion for promoting quality care in Before and After School Programs
- Current First Aid, CPR, full immunization for COVID, a clear Vulnerable Sector check and will complete a preplacement medical.
You're good at:
- Creating safe and welcoming environments open to all families, with qualified professionals and quality programs.
- Assisting families and caregivers to make personal connections and access a network of resources. Provide families and caregivers support and advice.
- Recruiting outstanding talent and managing staff to maximize their strengths
- Supporting educators to implement and supervise childcare activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of children in the program.
You will:
- Report to the Program Director
- Act in accordance with all relevant legislation of the Child Care Early Years Act, and EarlyON Operational Guidelines established by the Ministry of Education and City of Hamilton.
