Flair Airlines is currently seeking a permanent, full-time
Training Disruption and Recovery Scheduler to join our growing and ever-changing organization.

The Training Disruption and Recovery Scheduler provides training disruptions and recovery support to Crew planning/scheduling and assists the FOTC (Flight Operations Training Centre) in planning, coordinating all training.

The Training Disruption and Recovery Scheduler will be crossed trained with Training Planners and serve as a back up for Crew Schedulers.


Primary Job Functions:

The duties of the
Training Disruption and Recovery Scheduler include:

  • Support FOTC in the training planning, disruption and recovery of Initial and recurrent training events for pilots and flight attendants, including communication to crew planning within prescribed timelines post schedule publication
  • Coordinate and manage vendors and facilities and ensure communications to instructors and students
  • Manage and verify all SIM and training vendor bookings.
  • Compile and manage all training disruption events and costs.
  • Scheduling of all hotel and transport requirements from initial published plan and ad hoc changes as required.
  • Verify training scheduled within CMS system per the master plans, and perform continued verification between the TMS (training management system) and NavBlue CMS
  • Act as lead contact for training disruptions tracking and follow up, updating crew qualifications and expiries in the NavBlue system
  • Support the management of internal and external instructor schedules and communicate significant changes following the prescribed training syllabus footprints for recovery
  • Completing reports as required and assigned

Secondary Job Functions:


  • Special Projects in UAT, new process development, providing feedback to Manager Training Planning & Records for operational compliances
  • Such other duties as assigned by the Company from time to time, such as TMS development

Safety Duties, Accountabilities, Authorities and Responsibilities:

  • Involved in reactive and proactive risk assessments.
  • Initiate the creation and implementation of corrective action plans as a result of Event/Hazard
  • Create and follow up on Reports, Preventative/Corrective Action Requests (PCAR) or audit findings
  • Encourage active participation in the SMS for all personnel.
  • Adhere to FRMS principles during daily training event disruptions and recovery plans
  • Responsible to assist and maintain all training records and workflow process between TMS software and NavBlue Support the Safety Management System (SMS) program through participation and reporting.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:


  • Minimum High school or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a fastpaced work environment is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is essential.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high stress, deadline driven, everchanging work environment while prioritizing tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain organized workflow.
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Make effective
    decision
    s regarding scheduling and customer requirements for charters and other flights.
  • Previous Airline Operations Centre or Airport Operations experience is an asset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Clear criminal record check.

Other Requirements

  • Must be contactable on a 24 hour basis, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be very flexible and willing to prioritize Flair work schedule.
  • Excellent punctuality and attendance is required
