Description:

This position is a part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).

This 4-month position has an end date of December 31, 2024. Salary will be commensurate with experience in accordance with the Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) agreement.


Location - This role is in-person at Augustana Camrose.

Position

Duties


For the 2024 Fall semester, the lectures will take place in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:1- 11:45 am, and two lab sections will occur in an alternate week format on Thursdays from 2:15 to 5:15 pm.

Each lab section has a maximum of 16 students. A prepared lab manual will be available and weekly lab materials will be prepared by technical support staff.

Both the lecture and labs will cover an 11-week term (September 16th to December 9th, A final examination will be conducted during the final examination period (December 13-19, 2024).


Duties include:

  • Preparation of a course syllabus
  • Preparation of lectures and lecture materials for dissemination to students
  • Design, administration and grading of lecture and lab assignments and exams
  • Submission of final grades
