Natural Resource Information & Digital Services (NRIDS) is the information management/information technology (IM/IT) service provider and organizational partner to the Natural Resource Ministries (NRM).

As the centralized authority for all information, geospatial data, and technology across the NRM, NRIDS is leading the transformation and modernization of business practices through new and innovative technology solutions, continuous improvement projects and operational IM/IT solutions.

The Development and Digital Services team provides software development services for six natural resource sector ministries. The team focuses on continuous improvement through developing and enhancing software in response to user feedback. The team values steady, iterative and incremental changes to realize progress.

The Development and Digital Services team assembles, supports, and retains agile teams, and works both within and outside of the team to support the growth of an agile culture.


Reporting to the Director, the Agile Team Lead is accountable for providing leadership to all aspects of digital product and agile development for NRM clients.

The Agile Team Lead is relied upon, as an advocate for NRM business partnerships, ensures outcomes are aligned with clients' objectives and satisfies key financial and operational performance indicators.

The Agile Team Lead works in close collaboration with senior business leaders and IMIT colleagues and leads multi-disciplinary teams of IMIT professionals.


Job Requirements:


  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a related field plus three (3) years of experience in IM/IT; OR
  • Certificate in related field plus five (5) years of experience in IM/IT; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Two (2) years of experience using modern Agile product delivery practices to design, deliver and continuously improve high quality digital products and services.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Agile Leadership, User Experience (UX), Service Design, Scrum Facilitation, Full Stack Development or DevOps.
  • One (1) year of experience supervising IM/IT professionals.
  • Experience leading the creation, improvement, and management of a wide variety of digital products and services for an organization of similar size and complexity.
  • Experience managing relationships with a wide network of clients and internal/external partners.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts and expenditures ensuring compliance with fiscal parameters and the prudent use of financial resources.
  • Experience in Agile coaching and/or mentoring teams and/or staff as well as business area clients.
  • Leading the design, enhancement and management of digital products and services for public sector clients.
  • Lean, Kanban, Scrum or similar Agile frameworks. Experience leading change management initiatives across a large organization.
