The Long-Term Care and Senior Services Divisions require staff to provide person-centered care to our residents and families following the Butterfly Model of Care.

This will ensure high levels of emotional wellbeing and a better quality of life for those living in our homes.

Staff are to have emotional intelligence to deliver person-centered care in an authentic way that is meaningful to the resident and their family.

While you won't be providing direct resident or client care, you will report to the Supervisor, Practice, Innovation and Education and support the execution of a portfolio of Long Term Care projects including analysis, interpretation and development of business processes according to legislative and operational requirements


What you will do in this role:

  • Conduct audits at LTC centers to ensure consistency of policies and practices
  • Monitor developments in MOHLTC, relevant legislation and/or governmental policies and identify impact on the LTC Division
  • Recommend adjustments to Divisional forms/policies in response to analysis of data trends identified through divisional quality indicators and CQI program
  • Coordinate and participate in the development of LTC Divisional communication initiatives and strategies, in collaboration with Corporate Communication.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating LTC Pathways
  • Coordinate staff training and education initiatives
  • Provide expertise and guidance in the development of Divisional Operational Reports and Funding Submissions by conducting evidence based research and literature reviews, critical data and analytical analysis and interpretation of information
  • Provide expert interpretation and advice on Accreditation Standards and support the coordination of the Accreditation Process for LTC Division
  • Actively participate in and contribute expertise to Divisional and Corporate initiatives

What the role requires

  • A University degree in Health Sciences or Business Administration, a minimum of five years experience in related progressive positions
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Strong working knowledge in Project Management Body of Knowledge and project management processes
  • Superior skills in policy, quantitative analysis and research, with a demonstrated ability to gather, synthesize, evaluate and interpret information from diverse sources
  • Experience in Long Term Care with knowledge of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care standards and guidelines
  • Highly computer literate, including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Project and Power point
  • Knowledge in report writing required

Work Mode & Job Location:

In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at 10 Peel Centre Drive_, _Brampton worksite.

The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and is based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
