About the Position
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst will be part of the Western Canadian CFO team, with personnel in Burnaby, Chilliwack and Winnipeg.
The primary responsibilities include:
Coordinate the calculation and payment of sales commissions.
Manage the commissions process within our automated commissions system.
Liaise with our sales personnel and executive management for commission related inquires
Participate in the month-end close process
Maintain and distribute existing reporting and analysis as related to financial and operational metrics
Liaise between finance and operations concerning transaction processing in our Business Management System.
Provide ad-hoc financial and operational analysis to support business decisions
Research, identify, and communicate key variances relating to financial and operational metrics
Improve upon existing and implement new reporting as requested by management
Various other assignments, as required
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma an asset
Working toward a CPA, having taken accounting courses, or bookkeeping experience an asset
Advanced MS Excel skills, with ability to analyze data using complex functions and pivot tables
Experience with ERP systems an asset
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High degree of accuracy with a good eye for detail
