Job Summary:


The CPO at Purpose Unlimited is responsible for crafting and implementing an organizational talent strategy to enable organizational strategic goals; leading and continuously developing a people-focused People & Culture team; and serving as a trusted partner and advisor to their senior leadership peers and the Board of Directors.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Develops, executes, monitors, and evaluates the organizational talent strategy.
  • Builds, leads, and develops the People & Culture team.
  • Champions the desired organizational culture, with a focus on employee experience.
  • Acts as a trusted partner and advisor to the senior leadership team.
  • Provides analysis, support, and recommendations to the senior leadership team on talentrelated issues.
  • Manages talentrelated compliance and risk issues.
  • Develops and monitors resources and budgets.

Financial Acumen:
Has experience in and knowledge of business practices and processes and can read and interpret financial documents.

  • Employment Legislation Knowledge: Demonstrates strong understanding of the rules regulating Canadian workplaces which are contained in the employment standards statutes, specifically, as it relates to Ontario and Quebec, and has experience in successfully managing complex employment dispute cases.
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in HR, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field.
  • Progressive HR experience in interacting with executive teams and/or boards of directors.
  • Rich experience in people/team management.
  • Proven experience in leading complex change and/or program management.
  • Experience in major business transformation (M&A, IPO, etc).
  • Proficiency with HR information systems.
Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification.
  • Bilingualism (FR/ENG)

Other Detail:
Preferred location: Toronto. May require travel of up to 20% if out-of-province.
