Database Administrator
As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system's databases.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our ERP databases to support the organization's operations and strategic objectives.
- Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and maximize system efficiency.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement database upgrades, patches, and enhancements in alignment with business needs.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance system scalability, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Conduct capacity planning and resource utilization assessments to anticipate and address future database requirements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to endusers and IT teams regarding ERP databaserelated issues.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
- Participate in crossfunctional projects to implement new ERP modules, integrations, or customizations requiring database expertise.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates, gather requirements, and solicit feedback on databaserelated initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator, preferably with a focus on ERP systems.
- Indepth knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and ERP platforms (e.g. IFS Cloud, Infor Syteline, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with database security best practices and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment.
