Supply Planner

We are currently seeking a Supply Planner to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Brampton location.

Position Overview


The Supply Planner is responsible for optimizing the balance of inventory across the supply chain network in line with target customer service levels and safety stock levels, for the allocated portfolio of SKU's for which she/he is accountable.


The supply planner determines what finished goods should be manufactured or purchased in order to satisfy the supply plan as part of the S&OP process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and update the monthly supply chain models for the residential and commercial plants as part of the monthly supply review cycle.
  • Plan orders using MRP/DRP software to optimize inventory investment
  • Monitor and improve inventory performance of stock items
  • Coordinate with Demand Planning to convert the demand plan into a supply plan
  • Other duties as required
Accountabilities

  • Develop a supply plan and manage the MPS (Master Production Schedule) which incorporates current and accurate Demand Plan information, safety stock levels, EOQ's that allows the business to determine what finished goods should be manufactured or purchased and provide the production schedulers with the appropriate information to create schedules to meet customer demand and maintain safety stock levels.
  • Maintain and update correct safety stock levels and EOQ's
  • Generate weekly dashboards to ensure processes are in control
- knowledge sharing and an optimal supply plan to better guide the company and meet key customer KPI's

  • Refined systems and methods to continually improve supply planning so that the company can better anticipate customer needs
  • Execute with excellence in the area of supply planning and feedback to the supply chain team the opportunities and risks regarding meeting the supply plan and MPS.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related program
  • Five to ten years of experience in industry


  • Certificates

  • APICS or other recognized supply chain certifications
  • Lean Six Sigma certification an asset
  • Strong working knowledge ERP
  • MRP systems
  • Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills are required
  • Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels
  • Strong facilitation and decision making skills are required
