As part of the team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll do important work, like helping customers in finding cures for cancer, protecting the environment or making sure our food is safe.
How will you make an impact?
What will you do?
- Consistently achieve or exceed the territory sales plan & demonstrate use of strategic selling skills remotely & in person to penetrate & grow current & new business.
- Develop, write, and implement a business plan for the territory annually, updated quarterly.
- Leverage Thermo Fisher's customer relations management (CRM) system and other tools for prospecting, funnel management & to maintain and increase current customer database.
- Regularly promote & lead customer facing meetings, events, presentations and customer proposals in collaboration with support teams.
- Communicate key activities, trends, and changing customer & industry dynamics as well as account objectives and actions to management regularly
- Use our products to provide comprehensive solutions & to craft value proposition for our customers
- Identify and evaluate potential new business opportunities to sell the company's products and capabilities to customers for RUO & potential commercial supply basis.
- Collaborate with
Biosciences Commercial Supply & OEM and business unit partners to develop business/partnership frameworks for large, complex, often multiyear mutually beneficial partnerships. - Initiate and develop productive client relationships in multiple functions (e.g. R&D, production, procurement, marketing, quality, regulatory affairs) at multiple levels within them (scientists, project managers, managerial and executive levels), as may be important.
- Participate in programs as presented by the company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with the Thermo Fisher philosophy, policies and procedures. Overnight travel may be required for these trainings & meetings.
How will you get here?
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field preferred. Master's degree a plus.
Experience
- Molecular or Cell Biology wet lab experience preferred
- 1+ year of sales experience in the life sciences industry, preferred
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or like programs required

- Must possess strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication & presentation skills.
- Able to work well both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrate a positive approach and desire to succeed with a consistent track record of establishing goals and achieving results
