Eaton Canada is a global organization with over $500 million in annual sales dedicated to improving the lives of people and the environment through power management technologies.

Eaton Canada is located in Mississauga, Ontario and is currently searching for a Tax Analyst Co-op to join our team.

The position is located in Mississauga (hybrid) and is an 8-month work term commencing January 202- Responsible for accumulating, validating, and consolidating financial information for income tax and statutory filings

  • Assist in analyzing and interpreting financial data
  • Assist in preparing accounting reconciliations
  • File, maintain, and organize electronic files and records
  • Use Microsoft Excel to perform analyses with raw data
  • Assist in other tasks as assigned (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, memos, etc.)

Qualifications:


Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled fulltime pursuing a bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Finance, or Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel required.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
  • Ability to produce accurate and timely work with an attention to detail.
  • Selfstarter, able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining accuracy and reliability of work performed.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Relocation is not provided for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively independently and with others (subordinates, peers, superiors) in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources
  • Critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Possess the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in a finance/accounting/tax position or internship an asset
