Position Summary

The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is seeking an experienced, passionate dedicated Pilates Instructor to assist with growing our current Fitness programs.

This individual will have a strong background in pilates, motivating and managing Members and their Guests with an aim to promote overall health, improve muscle tone, strength and achieve better posture.

The incumbent must demonstrate strong communication skills, providing exceptional Member service while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Pilates instruction to include demo classes, group apparatus classes, private and semiprivate training as scheduled as requested by members
Must be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including but not limited to, hand weights, Springboard, Circles, Blocks and other equipment as needed to ensure a safe yet creative group experience
Visually inspect the equipment prior to the beginning of class to ensure equipment is in good working order and safe to use
Responsible for studio tidiness and returning equipment to standards set by Fitness Manager
Must arrive at a set time prior to the beginning of each scheduled class or private/semiprivate session
Maintain open availability and be able to work Saturdays and Sundays
Assist Fitness Manager with managing studio schedule and ensure Pilate classes, times, levels are ideal for members
Regularly inspect equipment for damage or wear and make recommendations to Fitness Manager

Requirements:

310 hours comprehensive Pilates education
3+ years of experience teaching regular group Pilate classes
Up to date First Aid/ CPR/ AED certification or willingness to obtain
Pleasant demeanor and excellent customer service skills
Proven public speaking skills
Punctual and Reliable
Degree or higher in Exercise Physiology preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to gracefully and warmly handle large numbers of people at once
Excellence in customer service
