Norstar Windows and Doors has an immediate need for a window installer service technician with windows and door repair experience. It involves travel to sites in Ontario, but mostly in Hamilton and the GTA.

Mostly Hamilton, Golden Horseshoe but some projects outside GTA.

Salary:

$24-25/hour depending on experience.

Job Duties:

The Service Technician is responsible for providing different services, such as diagnosing problems, making repairs, and/or replacing parts onsite to windows and doors.
Correct manufacturing defects on site, using appropriate tools for service completion.
Conduct water and/or air infiltration tests and remedy where possible while on site.
Conduct inspections of installed products to confirm claims of defect then report findings to the Service Coordinator.
Assess if issues reported are caused by manufacturing defects or a result of improper installation, and correct manufacturing defects.
Take pictures and measurements of the product onsite for reports to the Service Coordinator.
Complete service reports at the conclusion of all calls and provide reports to Service Coordinator.
Inspect and load all products required for service calls according to the service schedule.
Liaise with customers or property managers onsite.
Ensure the service vehicle is well maintained and in good working order.
Drive in accordance with the Ontario Highway & Traffic Act and according to posted speed limits and road/weather conditions.
Occasional trips outside Golden Horseshoe or Hamilton.

Qualifications:

years experience as a service technician in door and window industry.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Able to work independently.
Good time management skills.
Physically fit to lift heavy products safely (up to 50 lbs.).
