Department Overview


The eGRC Technology Team at TD is accountable for the enterprise vision, strategy, and standards for Enterprise Governance, Risk and Control Technology.

The AVP will work closely with the VP of Risk Management and Corporate Technology, Enterprise Architecture, ITS and TS partners and CIOs to shape the vision and strategy, while also delivering key technology programs and governing delivery to ensure alignment with business and technology target state, and standards.

Job Details

  • Build, develop and manage a team of internal and vendor technologycentric designer, developers and platform operators via leadership, direction, advice and guidance, maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation and morale
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to define the high level architecture and design for the bank's suite of eGRC technologies, including the definition of roadmaps
  • Identify and drive key technology investments to remediate platform gaps
  • Be the thought leader, innovator and agent of change for eGRC technologies / platforms used across the bank
  • Collaboratively implement and execute TD's enterprise governance and gating processes
  • Work directly with project teams to help deliver solutions that increase business results while ensuring TD's architecture and technology objectives are met
  • Partner with the Enterprise Architecture teams to materially impact and influence TD's enterprise technology and architecture objectives
  • Engage executive stakeholders appropriately to review strategy, progress and obtain input, validation and approval of key decisions
  • Expert domain knowledge & experience in the architecture and design of eGRC platforms, encompassing design, crosscutting concerns, development/test/deployment technologies, common integration technologies, patterns & standards and emerging technologies.
  • Experience spanning related architecture disciplines including architecture strategy, technology selection, decisionmaking, escalations, stakeholder communication, roadmap development, documentation through architecture governance
  • Demonstrated leadership in architecting and designing largescale mission critical technology solutions
  • Ability to influence others through strong decisionmaking, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with large scale program delivery spanning entire software development lifecycle
  • Experience in banking and/or insurance is preferred
  • Experience in leading and motivating a team of architects, developers and technology managers
  • Experience reporting to and communicating with executive stakeholders (e.g. VP, SVP)
  • Proven ability to collaborate across a large organization to effectively realize outcomes
  • History of making an impact, developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results in both the short and long term
  • Exhibit comfort and maintains composure with audiences at all levels, tailors communication style and delivery to different audiences, uses effectively listening skills to gain clarification from others.
  • Uses knowledge of formal and informal policies and organizational interconnections to effectively navigate boundaries
  • Strong influence and persuasion skills gets people to change position or course of action through conversations and debate
  • Build effective relationships with leaders across the organization
