Scope of the Position
The role of Administrative Coordinator exists to support and enhance the productivity of the site leadership team.

This is accomplished by assisting in the development, organization, and control of documents and correspondence, by facilitating and communicating the results of various meetings and by coordinating human resource related activities.

Strong, clear, and timely communication, both internal and external to the site, are essential to this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various administrative and clerical duties for assigned site locations.
  • Provide administrative support to plant manager and other department managers as needed.
  • Acts as a liaison to employees, answering basic questions pertaining to interpretation of Chemtrade and Human Resources benefits and policies, and direct employees to appropriate resource for additional assistance if needed.
  • Create and maintain files for various departments at site including but not limited to; Quality/Manufacturing, EH&S and Human Resources
  • Process timesheets and manage payroll reporting and activities for site locations. This includes tracking of hours worked, overtime, vacation / sick time and leave of absence/ FMLA for each employee.
  • Assist payroll with inquiries and help resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate new hire training, prepare new hire packets, assist employees with benefit questions and paperwork, process tax verifications and update HRIS system with employee status updates.
  • Assist HR department with Open enrollment, HR programs and policies and with the rollout of employee wellness programs and initiatives.
  • Support recruitment function by assisting HR with onboarding, interview scheduling and other administrative duties.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Minimum two years of experience in HR in the areas of benefits, payroll and health and safety.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead departments in a teambased environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive workforce, customer base and community.
  • Experience in inventory control, transportation planning, and customer relations a plus.
