Founded in 1974, Woodsworth College has become a thriving community of over 5500 students, with approximately one-third of students being part-time.
Our mission is to provide the best educational experience for a diverse student body, which includes a large number of part-time and non-traditional students.
In addition to being a locus of student life, we sponsor a variety of academic programs.
Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Indigenous Advisor and Community Outreach Specialist acts as an Indigenous Advisor to Woodsworth College, and the University of Toronto population.
The incumbent provides community outreach by working closely with an Assistant Professor to develop educational initiatives related to storytelling tours of the city of Toronto focused on urban land-based Indigenous Knowledge in Toronto.
The incumbent will also participate in student development and program recruitment activities that will require travel within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
