You will:

Negotiate with surface rights owners for the acquisition of land rights, rightofway, damage settlements, rental reviews and lease amendments.
Travel to various locations.
Communicate with key stakeholders such as clients, landowners, regulatory officials, government agencies and project managers throughout the life cycle of the projects.
Work effectively in a team environment while also taking on initiatives independently.
Conduct thorough site reviews and support assessment documentation.
Prepare and update status reports for each ongoing project by ensuring accuracy and effectively communicating on project progress.
Accurately track acquisition work for client invoices.
Document terms and conditions.

We are looking for someone with:

3 years of field acquisition experience is desired
Land Agent License, but willing to consider Interim Agents looking for a Training Agreement
Commissioner for Oaths is required can assist with obtaining
Knowledge of relevant land legislation and regulations
Public consultation experience
Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Exposure to Land and Property Rights Tribunal hearings (previously Surface Rights Board) would be an asset
Familiarity with geospatial information systems
