You will:


  • Negotiate with surface rights owners for the acquisition of land rights, rightofway, damage settlements, rental reviews and lease amendments.
  • Travel to various locations.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders such as clients, landowners, regulatory officials, government agencies and project managers throughout the life cycle of the projects.
  • Work effectively in a team environment while also taking on initiatives independently.
  • Conduct thorough site reviews and support assessment documentation.
  • Prepare and update status reports for each ongoing project by ensuring accuracy and effectively communicating on project progress.
  • Accurately track acquisition work for client invoices.
  • Document terms and conditions.

We are looking for someone with:

  • 3 years of field acquisition experience is desired
  • Land Agent License, but willing to consider Interim Agents looking for a Training Agreement
  • Commissioner for Oaths is required can assist with obtaining
  • Knowledge of relevant land legislation and regulations
  • Public consultation experience
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Exposure to Land and Property Rights Tribunal hearings (previously Surface Rights Board) would be an asset
  • Familiarity with geospatial information systems

$35.00-$50.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
