Job Summary

What is the opportunity?
As the Manager, Digital Operations, you will be leading a team of Business Specialists through Agile Transformation.

You will be facilitating coaching conversations, managing talent performance and growth, and supporting the development of the Agile Operating Model Operations team to enable speed and effectiveness.

You will also facilitate a continuous development culture to deepen staff knowledge and skills on technical areas and analyze skill gaps within the organization and provides appropriate solutions.

As part of this role, you will support strategic initiatives to further grow the RBCI business.


What will you do?

  • Lead a high performing team of Business Specialists by supporting work allocated from different initiatives and coaching to drive respective initiatives to delivery.
  • Foster a culture of selfimprovement and learning
  • Lead and support meetings, practices, and activities that enable lean flow and effective crossfunctional behavior in squads
  • Stay current in industry trends within RBC Insurance, and support Senior Manager, Digital Operations with strategy development, role innovation and roadmapping.
  • Drive innovation with through meetings and activities
  • Identify areas of opportunity and crossbusiness growth with Business Specialists
  • Create a talent strategy to build a growth path for new entrants into the team
  • Cross train and upskill team to support the new Agile Operating Model
  • Enable transformational change and create a safe space for learning and idea generation

Here's what we need from you:

Must-have

  • 5 years experience in RBC Insurance
  • Experience in organizations practicing agile methods
  • Previous mentor or coach
  • Proven success with relationship management
  • Strong problem solving skills with a resultsoriented mindset
  • University degree in business, finance or related field
  • Experience in or excited to learn Agile way of working (e.g., create and manage a backlog, write user stories track impediments, quick iterations with done better than perfect)
  • Able to identify, prioritize and scale work effort to maximize resource capabilities and capacity to ensure speed to market.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal and demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills
