An overview of your future role at BBA


Join BBA and make the most of your experience by leading the Human resources aspect for the Canadian central region by providing an advisory role with employees, VP, Directors and Managers to significantly help them achieve their business objectives.

You will also provide practical and strategic support such as organizational development, employee relations, total rewards, performance management and the creation and implementation of HR initiatives and programs.

Understand the goals and challenges of assigned clients (disciplines) to play a key role in fulfilling their operational plans and to participate in developing HR initiatives to support their strategic plan.

Responsible for translating the business challenges of assigned disciplines into concrete, measurable HR interventions; help develop a structured process and implement activities for talent attraction, retention, engagement and development as well as succession planning.

Support HR programs and processes and promote HR best practices for the firm.
Support assigned clients, identify business challenges requiring HR action and present innovative business solutions.
Implement various HR initiatives in assigned disciplines in collaboration with managers.

Train, coach and advise clients in areas such as HR challenges and best practices, employee relations, succession planning, employee engagement, integration and retention, compensation and mobility.

Support managers in managing personnel and foster the development of personnel management skills.
Participate in the talent attraction strategies.
Support, collaborate and play an advisory role with internal clients who are responsible for recruiting.
Coordinate pre-employment assessments in collaboration with our service providers.
Propose and finalize salary analyses in collaboration with other HRBPs and hiring managers in anticipation of job offers.

Your key skills and certifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, HR Management or Business Administration (with a specialization in
HR Management) and designation as certified human resources professional (CRHA or CHRP)
At least 10 years of experience as an HRBP or HR advisor
Knowledge of various work-related legislation
Intermediate computer skills, particularly with MS Office
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in both English and French, spoken and written
Ability to establish a quality-oriented partnership and work as a team member
Available to travel to each of BBA's Greater Montréal offices
Experience designing, developing and implementing HR business solutions for a wide range of clients and ability to achieve business goals by proposing new approaches, policies and procedures to foster continuous improvement and HR development
Ability to evolve in a dynamic results-based matrix environment
Ability to adopt a client-based approach and to tactfully manage sensitive situations.
