High school students, 16 years of age or older, are required as a summer program support worker to assist with all
ASPIRE program activities. The ASPIRE program strives to promote literacy and numeracy skills, along with
recreational activities for Kindergarten-Grade 5 students. Duties include supporting education and recreational
activities, assisting in the classroom, assisting with bussing and walking school bus, helping with field trips outside the
school setting, aiding in breakfast and lunch implementation.
Preference will be given to Grade 11 and 12 high school students who have demonstrated an intention to pursue a
career in Education or other areas working with children and youth.




REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a planning team

  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to interpret situations accurately and act accordingly
  • A positive attitude, outlook, and work ethic
  • Ability to develop good relationships with students on a onetoone basis and in groups
  • Good organizational skills and ability to follow directions
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both official languages, English and French, is an asset
