Ceva is seeking a Vaccine Production Operator who is passionate about science for a full-time permanent position on the afternoon shift (2PM - 10PM)

About the Job


As the vaccine production operator you will carry out manufacturing operations in accordance with appropriate procedures, incompliance with HSE standards, productivity targets and quality standards (GMP, hygiene).

You will propose ideas to improve productivity (workstations organization, quality and safety).


You will be responsible for the daily activities of the laboratory/bioreactor and ensure you meet the appropriate specifications for the production of animal vaccines.


Duties Include:


  • Operation and upkeep of bioreactors.
  • Laboratory bench work
  • Equipment preparation, maintenance, cleaning and disinfecting
  • Inform & escalate in case of issue deviation.
  • Collect samples from various tanks, surfaces and environment.
  • Identify and report irregularities identified with any aspects of work including documentation.
  • Review production logbooks, batch records and reports.
  • Ensures 5S standards are met and maintained.
  • Respect operating time yield standards.
  • Analyze some variances and propose implementation of action plans.
  • Raise alert in case of dangerous situations, near miss/miss, QA deviation etc.
  • Update & monitor performance indicators, analyze gaps, propose and perform resolution actions. Propose and implement ideas for improvement (short/medium term).
  • Actively participate in occasional site/ department projects and in continuous improvement workshops
  • Share good practices.
  • Know critical parameters of main production processes and procedures on assigned/trained equipment.
  • Is able to update documentation and procedures whenever needed.
  • Can use main IT tools to perform his/her job in production.
  • Is capable of leading small improvement / problem solving projects (12 weeks).
  • Lead Tier 1 meeting for Scheduling and escalation as needed.

About You

  • You have a technical College diploma in a related technical / biological field OR a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, biological or Engineering Technology
  • You have previous experience working with bioreactors
  • You are a team player and work with others to resolve problems
  • You have excellent verbal and written English skills
  • You are computer literate
