**Vacancy Posting - Competition # AA-GVLIPThe Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA) is an award-winning settlement agency

- range from guiding immigrant entrepreneurs as they create small businesses to supporting
- vulnerable newcomers to become confident, contributing members of our community. In
- partnership with more than 500 community partners and generous donors and volunteers, ICA
- serves as a helping hand, a listening ear, and a tireless advocate for immigrants and refugees.
- We are looking for a parttime (20 hours per week)
Administrative Assistant to provide
- administrative and office support functions for the Greater Victoria Local Immigration Partnership- file management, and technology support for online meetings and events as well as offering
- logistic support for in-person events, and will maintain partnership contact lists and provides
- administrative support for the newsletter and other program communication needs.
What you will bring to the role:
- A passion for working in a high-volume office administration environment.
- Related undergraduate degree or combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- 3 years' work experience within social services, notforprofit and/or multicultural organization.
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Zoom and database
- Knowledge and understanding of immigration issues, either from lived experience or from work
- within the community.
- Keen understanding of equity issues to support persons from diverse backgrounds with
- Proficiency in a settlement/resettlement/refugee language.
Additional assets we value:
- Multilingualism.
- Indigenous cultural competencies or lived experience with Indigenous communities.
- Proven administrative skills.
- Experience with client management systems.
- Proficient in a major immigrant language.
- Knowledge of community resources and provincial health care system is ideal

Compensation and hours:
This position starts at $21.52 per hour, working 20 hours per week,
requires union membership, and open to applicants of all genders.
Work location:
Douglas Street, Victoria BC.
